AFS-YES : Pre-Departure Orientation - I am WRONG!!

In 06 January, 2008. I found that I am wrong after attend the Pre-Departure Orientation. All what I could to say is `Hearing peoples were FRIENDLY!!`

I would never forget the moment I had to have few words from my hearing friends who will be my batch to go america. The words inspirated me like below

• Farhan!! You are awesome!!
• Farhan!! You deserved it!!
• Farhan!! I love to learn sign language!!
• Farhan!! You are amazing!!
• Farhan!! I want learn your language!!
• Farhan!! You are talented!!

For many years, I realized the deafness not always be hindrance, just show who you are. Of course, you will be respected.

AFS-YES : My teacher gave a key to start my American Journey

In 2008, all what I made to change my life is..

• GO AMERICA WITH AFS!!
• thats all what I have!! :D

Firstly, I would never forget my Techer (Cikgu Rohaya) who encourages me to join this program and everything changed in my life. Also thanks to my Bahasa Melayu teacher (Cikgu Aminah) who tirelessly helping me out to process my application form and make everything `smooth`.
My american journey starts at ASL Camp as the first camp for the Deaf organized by American Fileds and Service Malaysia, AFS (Antarabudaya Malaysia) and the idea of this camp was contributed by my awesome volunteer in Indianapolis (Jim Frenchik).

Sebagai Ibu Ketam mengajar Anak berjalan dengan Betul

..Hari ini aku lapar, mak aku tidak masak hari ini dan ibu bapa aku telah mengisikan perut sebelum aku di luar. Aku buat keputusan untuk `berdikari` sementara memasak sesuatu supaya hentikan perut aku yang `berbunyi`. Menu bagi malam ni adalah ubi kentang gorent dan ala western dengan burger daging (daging je tanpa roti).

Tiba-tiba mak aku lalu dan tegur aku semasa aku menghidangkan dinner aku.

Mak : jangan masak tu, berminyak tu..

setelah selesai teguran, dia makan satu batang ubi kentang dan tegur sekali lagi..

Mak : jangan makan tu.. gemuk la nanti..

sekali lagi dia memakan satu batang ubi sekali dan terus tegur..

Durian Party

.. selepas workshop RC Deaf Mission bersurai, aku tidak terlepas peluang untuk menyertai rakan aku pergi ke DURIAN PARTY bersama rakan ayah aku, kali ini adalah pertama buat Farhan untuk menikmati durian tanpa had hanya RM 10 di sebuah gerai durian di SS2, Petaling Jaya.

Sudah lama blog aku tidak aktif.. fikir nak start tulis blog ni bagi aktifkan traffic www.farhankamar.blogspot.com :D

cam ni, kelas baru aku dah lama start 6 minggu lalu.. esok pulak dah nak exam, its Mathematic Technique exam.. just monthly exam I guess... baru je sampai chapter ke 4.. exam pulak hanya sampai 3 chapter.. so.. tension ni xbanyak wat revision asyik busy baru baru ni.. ari ni xdpt datang kelas aku tidak sihat akibat tidak cukup tido hari isnin lalu..
